Ocean Tides
We learned that ocean tides are related to the gravitational pull of the moon. While the Earth's gravity keeps water from floating off of the surface and into space, the moon's gravity creates just enough pull on ocean water when the moon's revolution around the earth brings it close to the water, to create a bulge in the water which is what creates the tides.
